Frequently
Asked Questions Districts Who are Searching the Database at the Applicants on
Line Site
(These
Q&A are for districts, not for applicants)
Q:
I am trying to post a job at this site, but it does not recognize my account
name or password. What is wrong?
You can’t post jobs at this site, you can only post and edit jobs
at the
Minnesota Jobsite Online
.
Possibly no candidates exist with those qualifications in our
database. Perhaps you need to enter fewer criteria (broaden the search). Test
the search engine by entering only a license level (or nothing in any field) and
executing the search. Contact the database manager,
Fred Kunze , for help (click on my name or dial or 763-792-6690 or
1-877-373-9494).
Q:
I am using the same account and password we used last year, but the system won’t
recognize me. What is wrong?
You may
be entering some part of the logon and password incorrectly (check the case
sensitivity of the password); or you haven’t paid the fee for using the system
this year. In the latter case, contact the MASA office (651-645-6272) for rates
and form.
Q:
We have paid our fee for posting jobs. Do we need to pay a second fee for
searching the Applicants on Line database?
No
,there is only one fee which covers both sites and which entitles you to post
jobs as well as search for candidates. Contact the Minnesota Schools Jobsite
office (651-645-6272) for rates and forms.
Q:
We have found several promising candidates but at least one has not responded to
our email. What can be done?
The candidate’s phone number is also listed on the profile.
If that doesn’t work we have no other method of contacting them on line. Please
notify the database manager, Fred Kunze
(click on name or call 1-877-373-9494).
Q:
How will candidates respond to my district postings?
The
candidate may contact you via traditional means, but they should enter your job
posting number in their postings field. When they do that, you can enter the job
posting number as the sole search criteria and will get a return of all those
candidates interested in that job. Contact a candidate by clicking on their
email or by calling the phone number listed. Both are in their profile. Email is
made easier by a clickable line.
Q:
Who
should I notify if a candidate tells me they are hired?
Email the database manager (Fred Kunze) with the name.
Q:
When
does the pool change over or are new candidates continually coming on and off
the Minnesota Schools Jobsite system?
The
pool completely changes at the end of September. During the year, candidates are
continually coming on and off the system.
Q: How do I go about scheduling training from MASA on how
to use the Jobsite or Applicant site for my district users?
Contact the
Minnesota Jobsite Online office via the main
MASA web
site or call (651-645-6272).
